Red Squares – Ottawa’s Today – Canada KBD 1979

excuse for the extra-poor quality video but I recorded this vid with my digital camera. The Red Squares came together in early ’78 to record Ottawa’s first punk rock single. The 7″ was released with two covers, one distribuited locally, the other distribuited by Rough Trade in the UK. The band played a variety of concert and club dates in Ottawa and Toronto. The band dissolved in a haze of smoke in late 1980.
